The organizers and volunteers of the 2012 Rocky Mountain 1200 (“we”, “us” or “our”) respect your personal privacy. We believe ensuring the security of your personal information is important and we strive to protect any personal information you provide us. The personal information we ask for on the pre-registration and entry forms is necessary and directly related to running the 2012 Rocky Mountain 1200 event. We use appropriate security safeguards to protect your personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access.

By accessing or using the 2012 Rocky Mountain 1200 Website, you acknowledge and represent that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and any updates posted on the 2012 Rocky Mountain 1200 Website, and you represent, warrant and agree that you are bound by all of the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the 2012 Rocky Mountain 1200 Website constitutes your binding acceptance of any updates to this Privacy Policy.

Security

Event Pre-registration and Final Registration will be handled by CCN (The Cycle Component Network) a web based group of companies providing registration and transaction processing solutions for cycling events in Canada, the USA and the UK.

No credit card information will be collected or stored by the 2012 Rocky Mountain 1200 event. No credit card information will be stored by CCN. Instead, CCN uses a secure connection to pass your credit card information to a third party payment processing service provider.

Personal Information

Personal information is any personally identifiable information such as your name, residential and e-mail address, telephone number, and credit card information.

Limitation of Use and Disclosure

The organizers of the 2012 Rocky Mountain 1200 event will collect and store all the information you provide on the entry form EXCEPT financial data. As noted above, your credit card information is collected by a third party payment processing service provider through CCN, our secure online entry system provider. CCN’s privacy policy is detailed on their website and linked from here.

Your name, gender, bike type, cycling club affiliation, province or state and country will appear publically on the rider list and waitlist. This is to allow you and other riders to know who will be riding and who is on the waitlist and give everyone an idea of the diversity of riders. In addition to the above information, your age will also appear on the final results list of the Rocky Mountain 1200 website and the BC Randonneurs website. No other personal information will appear publicly.

Your contact information including email address, residential address and phone number will only be used to contact you or mail you items with regard to the 2012 Rocky Mountain 1200 event. They will not be revealed to anyone other than the organizers of this event without your permission.
