Entry for the 2016 Rocky Mountain 1200 is open.  Read the details below, and then click here to begin the process.

Pre-registered participants are reminded that full payment is due March 27, or you will risk losing your reservation and deposit.  Refer to your confirmation email in order to complete your registration.

Entry and registration for the 2016 Rocky Mountain 1200 will be a 2-part process, with pre-registration available only on the website, beginning December 19, 2015. The cost of pre-registration is $45 CAN, non-refundable.  The purpose of pre-registration is to allow riders who need to make travel or holiday reservations well in advance, the opportunity to hold a position in the event pending final registration. Final registration and payment ($550 CAN) will be open in late Jan. 2016. Once final registration opens, applicants on the pre-registration Riders List will have two weeks to complete final registration before their place on the list is released to a rider on the Wait List.

Due to space constraints at some of the controls, the 2016 Rocky Mountain 1200 event will be limited to 115 riders. The first 115 riders to pre-register will be placed on the Rider List. An additional 10 riders will be placed on the Wait List. All 125 of these riders will be required to pay the $45 pre-registration fee (non-refundable). In 2012 all the riders on the Wait List were offered spaces on the Rider List. Should more than 125 riders express an interest in doing the ride, these riders will be placed on an Interested Rider List.  Riders on the Rider List, the Wait List and the Interested Riders List will be placed on those lists in the order in which their pre-registration application was received. NOTE: Pre-registration information of riders placed on the Interested Riders List will be retained but their pre-registration fee will NOT be collected until such time as they are offered a place on the Riders List.

To be eligible to ride the ‘Rocky’ a rider must complete either an ACP sanctioned brevet series of a 200km, 300km, 400km and 600km distance within the time limits (and other rules prescribed by the ACP) since 01-Jan-2015; or by completing an ACP sanctioned 1000km or an RM sanctioned 1200km brevet within the time limits and other applicable rules since 01-Jan-2015. It is also possible to qualify for the 2016 Rocky Mountain 1200 after the registration closing date by completing an ACP sanctioned full brevet series of a 200km, 300km, 400km and 600km distance within the time limits and other rules prescribed by the ACP before 15-Jun-2016.

Riders will be required to provide the location, date and homologation number of each of the qualifying brevets on the Registration form or by contacting the Registration Clerk on or before 15-Jun-2016. Failure to do so will result in the loss of your guaranteed registration in the event and forfeiture of your registration fee.

The total cost of entry including pre-registration and final registration is $595 CAN. The entry fee covers the cost of food at all controls, blankets, mats and showers at the three major sleeping controls, 2 bag drops per rider ( see FAQ), entry to the Wrap Party at the finish for each rider and a commemorative medal for riders who successful complete the event.

If riders fail to complete qualification requirements or withdraw for any reason, we will re-open Registration (Final) to riders from the Wait List. They will be emailed an invitation to register in the order they are listed.

If registration is re-opened and you are sent a link, you will have one (1) week to complete the registration process or your position will  be revoked and given to the next rider on the Wait List.

The refund policy is as follows:

The Pre-registration fee of $45.00 is non refundable.
If you withdraw for any reason before 02-May-2016, you will receive a 75% refund on the Final Registration fee only.
If you withdraw for any reason between 02-May-2016 and 12-Jun-2016, you will receive a 25% refund on the Final Registration fee only.
If you withdraw for any reason after 12-Jun-2016, no refunds will be provided.
